Chapter 26: Riena Strait

• Lilin called a traveler to Rien and asked them to help investigate the glaciers rapidly melting in Riena Strait. The traveler met with the three warring tribes of Penguins, Malamutes, and Seals, who had temporarily put aside their differences to save their home. The animals believed that Frostwitch Barbara was responsible for using her magic to melt the glaciers and asked the traveler to confront her.

• However, the traveler quickly learned that Barbara was a good witch who had been saving the baby animals from drowning in the rising sea levels. She revealed that she had allowed the animals to blame her, as having her as a common enemy had allowed the three tribes to stop infighting and work together peacefully.

• The traveler continued investigating and soon learned that the Black Wings, under the leadership of Admiral Martini, had been melting the glaciers and spreading discord between the animals in order to harvest massive amounts of coolant. The traveler soon attacked the base, causing Martini to destroy all the evidence about their operations. Following the Black Wings’ retreat, the three tribes apologized to Barbara and made peace with each other.
