PART III: AFTER THE UNSEALING OF THE BLACK MAGE

Chapter 38: Yum Yum Island

• Before the Adversary could continue, Chief Lyon of Chu Chu Island asked them to investigate a loud noise coming from the nearby Yum Yum Island. There, the Adversary discovered that the people of Yum Yum Island were fusions made from the Erdas of Maple World’s most powerful monsters, such as Horntail, Zakum, and the Seal Guardians of Root Abyss.

• The townspeople wore special blue buttons that symbolized that they had been artificially created by someone, rather than being naturally born through spontaneous fusion of Erda, though the Adversary noted that Chief Lyon had been naturally created with the Erdas of Damien.

• While helping the townspeople, the Adversary encountered a powerful fusion created from the Erdas of Afrien. After defeating the creature, the Adversary realized that someone had been hoping to create a powerful creature through experimentation. Though they wished to warn the Alliance, they decided that it would be better to keep moving forward in order to reach the Black Mage.

• Soon after, however, the Alliance investigated Yum Yum Island and realized that it was the work of someone entirely new, rather than a Commander of the Black Mage. In order to explore the Arcane River and reinforce the Adversary, Neinheart and Cygnus dispatched a squad under the leadership of Ollie of the Thunder Breakers.

• Meanwhile, Kaling returned back to Yum Yum Island and discovered that her creatures had been destroyed while she had been away. Nevertheless, she decided to wrap up her experiments and move on to her other plans.
